Gateau Chocolate

Pre heat the oven to 180c 160c fan gas 4.
Gateau chocolate. 140 grams 5 ounces semi sweet dark chocolate coarsely chopped. 4 egg whites stiffly beaten. 90 grams 3 ounces flour.
Grease 2 x 20cm sandwich tins with oil and line the bases with baking paper. 70 grams 2 5 ounces butter. Step 1 preheat the oven to 350 degrees f.
Sift the flour cocoa and bicarbonate of soda into a large bowl. Coat two 9 inch round cake pans with cooking spray and line the bottoms with parchment paper. In a large bowl beat together 200g golden caster sugar 200g softened unsalted butter 4 large eggs 200g self raising flour 2 tbsp cocoa powder 1 tsp baking powder tsp vanilla extract 2 tbsp milk and a pinch of salt until pale.
Round baking pans with waxed paper. Step 2 whisk the cocoa powder and 1 1 2 cups boiling water. This is a quick and easy chocolate cake you can cook in the microwave in 2 minutes.
